The Ukrainian army has partially surrounded Bakhmut from the flanks and still controls part of the city, Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said on Sunday. Reuters.
After Putin congratulated and celebrated the victory of the Wagner group and the Russian army, this Sunday, a day after Yevgeny Prigozhin took Bakhmut, Hannah Malliar ensured that Ukrainian troops would continue their advance along the outskirts of Bakhmut and capture the higher parts of the city.
“Our forces took the city in a semicircle, which gives us the opportunity to destroy the enemy,” the Deputy Minister specified in Telegram. “Therefore, the enemy has to defend in the part of the city that he controls,” he added.
Anna Malyar ensures that Ukrainian forces continue to defend Bakhmut’s industrial facilities and infrastructure, as well as the city’s private sector.
