The Kremlin today expressed “deep concern” about the incursion of a “Ukrainian armed group” into Russian territory and called for “more effort” to deal with the growing number of attacks.
“What happened yesterday (Monday) is of great concern and once again demonstrates that Ukrainian militants continue their actions against our country. This requires further efforts on our part. These efforts continue and the “special operation” (in Ukraine) continues. so that it doesn’t happen again,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today.
Russian troops and security forces say they have been fighting a suspected surprise attack since Monday, which Moscow blames on Ukrainian military saboteurs.
