This Monday, the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education highlighted the growing role of women in the science and innovation context, but supported increasing their participation, “fundamental to enhancing the country’s innovative capacity”.
“I am convinced that greater participation and recognition of women in research and development is necessary to increase Portugal’s innovative capacity and create a more sustainable and balanced world,” the minister said.
Elvira Fortunado spoke at the Industrial Property, Sustainability and the Future of the Planet conference, which runs until Tuesday at the National Civil Engineering Laboratory in Lisbon.
