Life expectancy at birth increased for men and decreased for women

According to INE estimates released this Wednesday, Portuguese life expectancy at birth between 2020 and 2022 was 80.96 years, an increase of 0.01 years for men and a decrease of 0.01 years for women.

Over the past ten years, life expectancy at age 65 has increased by 9.7 months for men and 8.5 months for women.
