Noting that “the means used by the Russians in this conflict also testify to their complete lack of commitment to respecting international treaties,” Chega speaks of “carnage” and “the clear goal of the Moscow forces is to indiscriminately destroy civilians in Ukraine.”

“But if all this were not already unbearable, then the Russian Federation began to use energy as a weapon and an instrument of blackmail, limiting or even blocking access to gas for European countries dependent on it, while simultaneously pursuing a policy of “energy terrorism” with the destruction or damage of Ukrainian infrastructures for the production or distribution of energy, the purpose of which is to doom millions of civilians to a harsh winter, without proper heating capabilities, ”the deputies note.

The European Parliament approved on Wednesday a resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, presented by a political group of European conservatives and reformists (center right).

The resolution also asks the Council of the EU to designate the Russian paramilitary Wagner Group, the 141st Special Motorized Regiment, also known as the Kadyrovites, as well as other militias, militias and Kremlin-funded forces on the list of terrorist organizations (Presidents of Russia) . ).
