The Judicial Police (JP) detained two men, aged 19 and 20, on suspicion of attempted murder of an 18-year-old in January in Almada.
The suspects, along with a third person, whose identity and whereabouts have yet to be ascertained, are believed to have traveled to the We Africa cafe in Monte da Caparica, an establishment where they believed the man suspected of having previously shot firearms against them to kill him.
The attackers, carrying sawn-off shotguns and a 9-mm pistol, fired several shots at the young man. A seriously injured victim will survive because he was treated immediately and was subsequently taken to the hospital where he was operated on.
The detainees, who already had a criminal record, were present in court and kept in custody until the trial.
