Ines Pinto, known as Nini, passed away this Sunday at the age of 18. The young woman battled acute myeloid leukemia and eventually became famous for speaking out about her journey with the disease and breaking the death taboo on social media.
Death was confirmed in Instagram from Nini.
Under the username @Amorrercomigo, the girl described herself as “an 18-year-old girl who beat leukemia in a different way”, accepting it and enjoying the beauty of every day. “The disease is overcome when we accept it,” you can read in the biography of Ines Pinto.
Nini was a big fan of FC Porto and football in general, highlighting this passion during her career in Internet. The club shared on Twitter a video of Nini scoring a goal and celebrating with the Porto team.
Sergio Conceiçao, dragon trainer, used Twitter to leave a message for Nini. “I want to believe that we gave you a little sparkle during the time between us, which was too short. While you were with us, your smile also made us smile, realizing how lucky we are to have such a simple thing as health. Thanks for the lesson, Nini, see you forever!” he wrote.
The young woman had a community of over 19.4k followers on Instagram and 36.4k on TIK Tak.
