Oriol Dongmo wins the gold medal in shot put at the European Games

Portuguese Olympic athlete Oriol Dongmo won the gold medal in the shot put at the European Games in Krakow 2023 this Friday with a throw of 19.07 meters in Chorzow, host of the European Championships.

Dongmo won another gold for Portugal and helped save the Kraków2023 European Championship First Division with a single run over 19 meters per day, leaving Germany’s Yemisi Ogunleye in second with 18.85 and Sweden’s Axelina Johansson in third with 18.32.

This is the second gold and the third medal of the day for Portugal, which has already won the K1 200m canoe against Messias Baptista and won the bronze in the same distance from Francisca Laya, to which bronze has been added.
