Edintsvo – Association of immigrants from Eastern countries – “led by Russian couple Igor Khashin and Yulia Khashina [próximos do Kremlin]is still defined by the High Commission for Migration as a Ukrainian association” and IL believes that there is a risk that the Portuguese state “endangers the lives and personal data of Ukrainian refugees accepted by Portugal, as well as their families who have remained on Ukrainian soil” .
On the other hand, says IL, “Keeping the Edintsov classification also means that it will remain part of the electoral college to elect Ukrainian representatives to the Migration Board, which is seated by the various immigrant communities present in Portugal and whose elections are due to take place in March 2024.”
