The message was sent on Friday following a report by the Observador that said the leader of the parliament had removed from the agenda a request to hear the head of obstetrics at the Santa Maria hospital, Diogo Aires de Campos, rejected by the administration of that hospital. The reason for this decision could be the fact that the wife of Miranda Sarmento worked in the department headed by Aires de Campos.
The leader of the parliament denied this situation, and in the message he sent to the court mentions that “there are MPs who understand that I have no political profile and that others would be better leaders, this is what I can accept (. . .) that they do this in the newspapers, under the guise of anonymity, seems to me a deep cowardice that only hurts the SDP.”
