The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Luis Montenegro, said that the Portuguese national health service was “in disarray” and presented some solutions this Monday.
“The SNA cannot accept this state of affairs. More than a million Portuguese do not have a family doctor,” Montenegro said.
The MP listed several health problems in Portugal, from “closed emergency services” to “colossal health inequity” that Montenegro says favors those with more money.
“We don’t just want to state problems, we know that alternative ways must be found,” he added.
The solutions presented by PSD are based on “five axes to change health in Portugal”.
