New partial strike at CP delays 20 trains until 8:00

CP – Comboios de Portugal said in a statement that 20 trains were stopped between 00:00 and 08:00 on Thursday, including one long-haul, five regional and 14 city trains from Lisbon.

“The strike announced by the SFRCI will affect the movement of trains throughout the country,” the company said.

CP announces on its website that due to the strike called by the SFRCI trade union, from 00:00 on July 6 to 23:59 on August 6, riots are expected in railway traffic, on all lines, with possible impact on the day after the period strikes, 7 August.

The carrier informs that customers who have already purchased tickets for travel on Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, Internacional, InterRegional and Regional trains will be refunded the full price of the ticket or will be exchanged free of charge for another train of the same category and class. .

The partial strike of auditors and cashiers of the SR covers the period when World Youth Day is taking place in Lisbon.

Ticket inspectors and workers have already ended a partial strike that began on June 5 and ended on Wednesday to challenge the “lack of fairness” in wages at CP – Comboios de Portugal.
