The Lisbon City Council will host more than 42,000 people in schools and municipal institutions during World Youth Day (WYD), which takes place in the city from 1 to 6 August, the President announced today.
“We are talking about 42,000 people who will be placed in schools and equipment of the City Council. [de Lisboa]so this is a good sign,” said Carlos Moedas (SDP) as he left the world headquarters of the Ismaili Imamat in Lisbon, where he today attended a ceremony attended by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The mayor stressed that the municipality is providing its equipment to receive “anyone who comes from outside” and is asking families to do the same with their homes.
