Sevilla President José Castro said on Wednesday that there is no agreement between the parties on the transfer of football player José Angel Carmona to Sporting, meaning that the defender will be reinstated in the Spanish team.
“Carmona arrived here this afternoon and tomorrow [quinta-feira] will train with the team. The reality is that there was no agreement with Sporting, and there are always three parties involved in negotiations. He will be motivated with his teammates and continue the pre-season,” the president said, quoted on the Spanish club’s official website.
Jose Castro also stressed that they will analyze whether Jose Angel Carmona, who was allowed to be absent from the Sevillian team’s work, will stay at the club to decide his future, or if there is an opportunity to leave.
The 21-year-old Spanish right-back has been named as a Sporting reinforcement, but José Ángel was found to be unconnected with the Lions, and the media reported that the player had not passed medicals, while other media spoke out in violation of the agreement on transmission.
The right-back trained at Sevilla and made it to the first team in the 2021/22 season. The Spanish under-21 international started the season with Sevilla last season, playing 15 games and scoring two goals, but was eventually loaned out to Elche.
With Elche, José Ángel played in nine matches, scoring one goal, and later suffered a muscle injury that kept him out of the team.
