11 people are missing after a fire at a nursing home in Winzenheim, France. The blaze forced the nursing home to be evacuated, and there are still records of two users requiring medical attention. It is still unknown if the missing users are employees or visitors.
“Despite the quick and courageous intervention of the firefighters, which I appreciate, there are a few casualties. The operation continues,” French Interior and Foreign Minister Gerard Darmanin tweeted.
The warning was given around 6:30 am (5:30 am in Portugal). More than 70 firefighters are on site fighting the blaze, which has already been brought under control.
In accordance with BFMTV17 people were taken out of the building, one of whom had to be taken to the hospital, and the other to be treated on the spot, as he was in a state of shock.
