CDS-PP President Nuno Melo said this Friday that he believes that despite the difficulties, the party will “change its circumstances” and succeed in next year’s European elections and also return to the Assembly of the Republic. .
“I do not hide or ignore difficulties, but I do not live in them depressed. I believe in the possibilities and I think that CDS will change its circumstances and therefore I believe that it will be successful in the future. [eleições] European Union and will return to the Assembly of the Republic,” Nuno Melo said today.
The president of the CDS-PP, who spoke with Lusa on the sidelines of participating in the “Medieval Journey” in Santa Maria da Feira, said he was not afraid of the European elections scheduled for next year and that his experience in political life helps “regarding the circumstances that others take for granted.”
“The only thing I take for granted is that CDS has always gotten through tough times. CDS had several founding moments, and today we may be experiencing the challenge of our lives. I live the challenge of my life, and I will try to give the party the return that my party gave,” he said, saying that he was confident in the future.
“I don’t get depressed for a minute because of bad opportunities,” he added.
The next elections to the European Parliament will be held from 6 to 9 June.
June 10 is the Day of Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities. And June 13 is a holiday in several municipalities, including Lisbon.
