The 45-year-old Portuguese man was arrested by the Spanish Civil Guard in Verina, in Ourense (Spain), for the sexual abuse of two children under the age of 16, committed last May in the same village. According to the statement of the Spanish authorities themselves, the detention took place on Saturday evening, and the man did not resist. A European arrest warrant was issued against a Portuguese citizen specifically for the crimes of sexual abuse of minors. A Portuguese citizen is in the custody of the Spanish authorities, who are due to bring him before a judge today for questioning. It is not known whether he had a residence or professional activity in Ourense and what his relationship with the juvenile victims was.
