A fire in an empty house in Paranhos in Porto led to the evacuation of residents from nearby buildings on Monday evening, a civil protection source told Lusa.
A source from the Sub-Regional Command of the Porto Metropolitan Region said the fire had affected an empty apartment complex in Paranhos, adding that the fire had not reached neighboring houses.
However, for security purposes, the residents of these houses were evicted from their homes, he further elaborated.
