Neymar joins Al Hilal Jorge Jesus

On Tuesday, Al Hilal officially unveiled Brazilian player Neymar as a new addition to the club coached by Jorge Jesus. The emblem of Saudi Arabia also features Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves.

The 31-year-old striker will spend his third experience at a club outside of Brazil in Saudi Arabia after PSG and Barcelona.

According to the press, the Brazilian will have a two-year contract and will receive about 320 million euros, including salary, bonuses and commercial agreements.

Neymar started to excel at a young age, at Santos, where he trained. The Brazilian made his debut for São Paulo at the age of 17 and scored 136 goals in the 225 games he played until he left South America in 2013.

At the age of 22 and with seven titles (South American Recopa, Copa Libertadores, Copa Brazil, a South American under-20 competition and three championships in São Paulo), the Brazilian has aroused great interest among the European sharks.

Neymar even caused a dispute between Barcelona and Real Madrid, but in the end he chose the Catalans, where he lived the best years of his career.

With Kules, where he formed a historic trio with Messi and Luis Suarez, the Brazilian won the Champions League (in the 2013/14 season when he was one of the top scorers, with Ronaldo and his Argentine teammate), two Spanish leagues, Club World Cup, Spanish Super Cup and Royal Cup.

In 2017, he left the Spaniards for PSG, which was the most expensive transfer in history. The Brazilian was sold to the French for around 222 million euros. At that time, Neymar’s goal was to step out of Messi’s shadow and become the main highlight of the top team.

At PSG, the Brazilian has always failed to win the Champions League, the main goal of the Parisians, who added Mbappe to the team.

Neymar never managed to win the coveted Ballon d’Or. In 2015, while still at Barcelona, he was third behind Ronaldo and Messi, just like in 2017, already at PSG.

In Al-Hilal, the Brazilian will face Jorge Jesus and Ruben Neves, as well as his compatriots Malcolm and Michael. This summer, the Saudis have already signed, in addition to Neves and Malcolm, Coulibaly (ex-Chelsea) and Milinkovic-Savic (ex-Lazio).
