Do you want to replace windows or install photovoltaic panels? Acceptance of applications for state support begins today

The application deadline for a new Residential Energy Efficiency Support Program that provides funding for 85% of window replacements and the installation of photovoltaic panels opens this Wednesday.

Environment and Climate Action Minister Duarte Cordeiro announced on July 18 a new program to support the energy efficiency of residential buildings with a total allocation of 100 million euros to finance 85% of window replacement and installation. photovoltaic panels, among others.

The new Residential Building Support Program + Sustainability 2023 (3C 2023) will be allocated €100 million and this first notification will mobilize €30 million for applications due between 16 August and 31 October.

This support will finance 85% of window replacements, installation of photovoltaic panels and natural insulation, among others, and only permanent residences will be considered eligible.

According to the tender notice published on the Environment Fund website, activities to replace inefficient windows with efficient A+ energy class windows, apply or replace thermal insulation on roofs, walls or floors, heating and/or cooling systems and hot water supply ( DHW) using renewable energy sources, energy class A+ or higher, installation of photovoltaic systems and other equipment for the production of renewable energy for own consumption with or without storage, as well as measures aimed at improving the efficiency of water use.

Each beneficiary is limited to a maximum total incentive of €7,500 per single-family building or stand-alone faction, less the amounts supported in the second phase of the previous Greener Buildings Support Programme.

In addition, applications for buildings located outside the Lisbon and Porto areas have a 10 percent increase in the maximum incentive cap for each type of intervention.

According to the notice, if the amount supported by the beneficiary in this first notice is equal to or exceeds 5,000 euros, the candidate must submit an energy certificate of the intervention object before and after execution.
