The fire broke out early Wednesday morning in the thickets of Nelas, Viseu. Two firefighters and two civilians were injured.
The alarm was received at 12:24.
The fire has two active fronts and has led to the closure of the N231 road connecting Nelas with Seiya. Traffic can be carried out on the roads N234 or N231-1.
The facility employs 434 operators supported by 125 vehicles and 12 aircraft.
The fire “still does not threaten” any place, a source from the sub-regional command of Viseu Dau Lafoins told Lusa on Wednesday, “although it is moving towards Portela and Señorim”, in the parish of Canas de Señorim, municipality of Nelas, Viseu area.
