Interior Minister José Luis Carneiro warned this Wednesday that due to fluctuating weather conditions until October, it is necessary to “keep vigilant and maintain full attention” to prevent fires.
“We will have periods of low temperatures, then there will be periods of rising temperatures until October, and we must be on the alert and maintain all attention, behavior and attitude of responsibility,” said this Wednesday in a statement to the Luz agency, the ruler, in Fundau, in the fields signing a contract on inter-administrative cooperation for the reconstruction and expansion of the building of the territorial detachment of the PPR in the city.
The supervising minister emphasized that it is customary to burn the remains of agricultural work, burn stubble, and clean up at this time, and urged the population not to carry out these works on days when the risk of fires is higher.
“It is recommended to avoid carrying out these works on days of special alarm. If they decide to do so, they must do so after contacting the municipal civil protection authority, the fire department or the parish councils,” stressed José Luis Ram.
