CP will go on strike in the days before and after Christmas, the Directorate-General for Employment and Labor Relations (DGERT) said in a statement.
On December 23, 25, 26 and January 2, minimum services were set for 25% of trips. On December 23 and 26, the strike will last 24 hours.
“A strike is also planned for overtime, including holidays and weekly rest days, from 00:00 on December 23 to 00:00 on January 02, 2023,” the unions said.
“The strike is the last tool that the workers use to make the company listen to the difficulties they face,” they stressed.
The unions are demanding “a financial bonus that compensates for the loss of purchasing power confirmed in 2022”, “a renewal of the food subsidy” and “an end to discrimination between workers,” the same note said.
According to the newspaper ECOCP met with DGERT this Thursday, but the list of trains affected by the strike will be released in the coming days.
