SDP will announce a decree-law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the merger of local medical centers

The SDP will demand parliamentary consideration of a decree-law on the restructuring of the National Health Service (NHS) and the consolidation of local health centers.

“SDP is not against local medical posts: on the contrary, we are in favor and therefore have already proposed them several times, but we propose their creation in stages, in dialogue with the population and mayors and, above, And all this is only in regions where conditions exist for the immediate integration of primary health care sanitary care with inpatient care,” said Rui Cristina.

The MP was speaking this Friday during a parliamentary debate on the National Health Service (NHS), requested by the parliamentary health committee, on the day the SNS turns 44 years old.

On Thursday, the Council of Ministers approved a decree-law that restructures the reorganization of the SNS, merging hospitals, hospital centers and groups of health centers into a single entity that takes the form of local health units (ULS) with the aim of “ensuring greater integration of care and more rational management of care delivery” , says a note published at the time.

Also on Thursday, a decree-law was approved establishing the legal regime of full dedication in the SNS, as well as the organization and mode of operation of Family Medical Centers (FMS), as well as updating the salary tables for doctors and interns.

At a press conference after the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Health said that the diploma will allow us to generalize the USF Model B, in which remuneration is tied to the results of the work of specialists.

The executive estimates that “simply put, the generalization of USF Model B will allow approximately 250,000 more Portuguese people to access family health care,” he said.

Also on Thursday, before the USF diploma was approved by the Council of Ministers, family doctors warned of the dangers of wanting to tie specialist remuneration to the prescription of drugs and tests, citing a government proposal.

“It’s one thing to evaluate the work of teams, the work of groups of medical centers, to use metrics to compare these teams and these groups, to make sure that the remuneration of each specialist directly depends on the prescription, be it medications or additional diagnostic tools, is very difficult. “, said Nuno Jacinto, president of the Portuguese Association of General and Family Medicine (APMGF).
