A 28-year-old man was arrested by the Judicial Police (PJ) on suspicion of complicity in two crimes: aggravated robbery, kidnapping and abuse of credit and debit cards, committed in the city of Porto.
The crimes date back to March 31, when a man, accompanied by another suspect, “stole several goods” from two people leaving a nightclub using a firearm and a knife. Victims were also forced to provide PIN numbers for various debit and credit cards.
According to PJ, the duo always used the same “Modus Operandi”. One was convinced of the correctness of the codes and began to withdraw money, the other kept the victims under constant threats.
The detainee, who has a criminal record for drug trafficking and calls to the police for crimes against property, appeared before the judiciary and is in pre-trial detention.
