David Beckham revealed how the obsessive-compulsive disorder he suffers from affects him on a daily basis in an excerpt from the former footballer’s upcoming Netflix documentary series, shown at an event in London this Thursday.
According to the newspaper El PaisThe 47-year-old Englishman admitted that such behavior forces him to stay up at night and spend hours cleaning the house he shares with his wife.
“When everyone goes to bed, I go around the house, clean out the used candles, turn on the switches so they are aligned correctly and check that everything is in order,” said the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player.
The former football player also noted that he hates “going downstairs in the morning and having dirty glasses and plates.”
David Beckham shares a mansion worth more than €28 million with his 49-year-old wife Victoria Beckham in north London. The couple has four children, and they all study in the capital of England.
A Netflix series about the former player’s life is slated for release later this year.
