This Saturday, Polish police isolated Pilsudski Square in the center of Warsaw (Poland) due to a bomb threat, reports Reuters.
According to the Polish press, in this square a man climbed onto the monument and threatened to blow himself up.
The images, posted on X (formerly Twitter), show a man standing atop a memorial to victims of the Smolensk air disaster, which killed 96 people in 2010.
“There’s no way in, there’s a bomb,” a police officer at the scene told a police reporter. Reuters.
A police spokesman confirmed the man’s ascent to the monument.
Warsaw police warned on X that the square and surrounding area were closed to traffic “for security reasons.”
