The Prosecutor’s Office (MP) has charged an employee of the Mirandela City Council with two crimes related to abuse of power, the District Prosecutor General’s Office (PGD) of Porto said on Monday.
According to what was published on the official page of the PGD, the actions were carried out by an employee of the Department of Urban and Territorial Planning and then the Department of Territorial Development of this municipality in the district of Bragança.
The deputy believes that the defendant, “exceeding the powers granted to him to carry out private functions, through the company he created and with the assistance of its employees (who formally assumed the authorship of the projects), prepared two private projects of work. persons in respect of which he, as an official, gave positive conclusions.”
Thus, the prosecutor’s office understands that the defendant violated the functional duties assigned to him.
