The PS in the Lisbon Municipal Assembly accused Mayor Carlos Moedas (NSD) on Tuesday of turning the city into an “amusement park,” given that management “continues to drift” and “it is not the fault of the PS.”
“Two years after the government of the right-wing coalition “New Times” came to power, and what do we have? What dream drives the city? What is the projection of Lisbon of the future? What offers does it represent and have for the residents of Lisbon? Nothing, nothing, Lisbon continues to drift,” said PS municipal deputy Carla Madeira.
As part of the debate on the state of the city, the socialist criticized the leadership of the Novos Tempos coalition (SDP/CDS-PP/MPT/PPM/Alliance), which has been in power since October 18 without an absolute majority. 2021, chaired by Social Democrat Carlos Moedas, who defeated Fernando Medina (PS) in the last local elections.
