Nelida Guerreiro and Sidney Martincho, a Portuguese ex-robbery couple known as “Bonnie and Clyde” (a pair of US thieves 90 years ago) who had a falling out after being jailed for robberies, are now formally charged. The Ministry of Justice reported the death of three members of the same family in Donaí, Bragança, this Friday to Linha Aberta and confirmed CM. On July 9, 2022, Olga Pires (mother of Carlos’ friend) will die. On the 20th of the same month they killed José and Carlos. Both times they tried to steal money from the couple and drugs from their son.
Nelida and Sydney’s first connection to Donai’s death came when Carlos’ DNA was found in the car the couple was using. Nelia and Sidney fled to the Algarve after the triple murder, starting armed robberies during which they tried to bring down PNP and PS members. They traveled to Spain, where they were captured in August 2022. They have already been extradited to Portugal and charged with robbery. They have already been acquitted in connection with the death of an elderly man in 2018 in San Bras de Alportel.
