Rui Rocha, speaking at the 3rd National Assembly of the party core in Porto, said that, regardless of the outcome of negotiations between the government and doctors’ unions, “it is absolutely unacceptable for the government to allow the country to lead the country.” to the abyss.”
Accusing the government of not taking action, the leader of the Liberal Initiative stressed that Prime Minister Antonio Costa “did not come to power yesterday, he came to power eight years ago.”

At a meeting dedicated to the 2025 local elections, Rui Rocha announced the IL strategy based on four axes as part of the discussion of the 2024 state budget.
According to the IL leader, one of these axes, entitled “Portugal Functioning”, will feature measures in the areas of health, transport, housing and education.
