PSD Vice President Paulo Rangel reacted this Thursday to Pedro Nuno Santos’ resignation request and assured that “there is instability in socialist governance.”
Paulo Rangel also said that the layoffs of recent months are “a sign of the political slander that PS has come to”.
The Social Democrats believe that the prime minister’s “credibility and political authority” is “really shaken by this wave of crises” and that “the PS has resolutely returned to work for boys and girls”.
Paulo Rangel also demanded that the Prime Minister explain to the Assembly of the Republic why now is not “the time to hide”, but “the time to react”.
The party also asked Fernando Medina for answers, as “the compensation story has not yet been explained” and they believe that the issue “cannot be solved by layoffs alone”. “The Minister of Finance has a lot to explain, because it was he who twice brought Alexandra Reis to the government.”
Paulo Rangel also emphasized that this time “there are no more excuses and subterfuges” and that “there is only one responsible” – the leader of the socialists.
