Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won this Friday against Montpellier with a score of 3:0, and the third goal was scored by the Portuguese national team player Vitinha in the 11th round of the French Football League and temporarily took the lead.
The Paris team, which did not include a single Portuguese player in the original lineup, scored ahead of schedule, after 10 minutes, against South Korean Lee Kang-In, but only in the second half sealed the victory, scoring two more goals, at 58 and 66 minutes – Warren Zaire – Emery and Vitinha.
The Portuguese midfielder, a regular starter, was brought on only in the 62nd minute by Spanish coach Luis Enrique, as was his compatriot Gonçalo Ramos, and completed the result four minutes later with a shot from outside the area following a pass from Moroccan Achraf Hakimi.
Two other Portuguese players in PSG’s squad, Danilo Pereira and Nuno Mendes, were injured and were unable to contribute to the team.
PSG’s victory took them to the top of the league with 24 points, but the Parisians have one game more than those next in the table, including Nice on 22 points, Monaco on 20 and Lille on 18.
Second-placed Nice host Rennes on Sunday and a win would see them regain the lead with 25 points, one more than PSG.
