Neymar’s former maid has accused him of forcing her to work overtime and seven days a week for almost two years while the Brazilian was in France working for Paris Saint-German. The woman is asking for compensation of 368 thousand euros, the publication reports. Le Parisien.
The employee will work for more than two years without documents, seven days a week, without the right to time off or vacation. The accusation, cited by the French press, refers to “hidden work.”
A woman who worked 70 hours a week received 15 euros per hour. Payment was made in cash, and the Brazilian’s former employee had to record working hours in a notebook.
The situation dates back to the period from January 2021 to October 2022, when the 31-year-old athlete was in Paris. Neymar is currently at Jorge Jesus’ club Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
The domestic worker is a Brazilian mother of four. Her first contact with the player’s entourage came in 2019, when she was hired to help at a party. She began multi-tasking in May 2020 and became a full-time employee the following January.
The woman says she had to turn to charities to survive and accuses the player of forcing her to work two weeks before the birth of her last child.
The Brazilian’s lawyers tried to contact the player to reach a settlement agreement, but to no avail. The player’s adviser quoted by G1 said that “they don’t know about it because Neymar wasn’t mentioned.”
