On November 24, the Felgueiras Voluntary Humanitarian Firemen’s Association celebrates its 125th anniversary, and since June many events have been held to commemorate this date.
This Saturday, at 21:30, it will be the turn of the singer from Porto, Pedro Abrunhos, to take to the stage set up next to the barracks and bring joy to the people of Felgueirense. Thousands of people are expected.
In this sense, traffic will be changed along the Felgueiras Volunteer Firefighters Street, which will be closed to traffic. The celebrations will continue on the 25th with a performance by the Portuguese Navy Band at the barracks at 9:30 pm.
On the 26th there will also be a ceremonial meeting at the headquarters of the Association. The ceremony is expected to be attended by Interior Minister José Luis Carneiro and the heads of national organizations related to firefighters and civil protection.
In addition to cultural events, corporate-related events have been held in recent months, including an explosion and fire drill on November 11.
