The actor from “Alice”, “Linhas de Wellington” and “San Jorge”, among many other fine roles, found himself in a horror film with racy sex scenes. A. M. Lucas, an American screenwriter, accuses Nuno Lopez of “drugging and raping her” at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York in 2006.
The lawsuit initiated by A. M. Lucas against the Portuguese actor was filed this Monday in a New York court. Nuno Lopez has already responded with a statement: “I have an absolutely clear conscience, but I am aware of the very serious consequences that this case represents.”
The report of A. M. Lucas that appeared in the process is a real script for a film for adults. She says she remembers the actor kneeling in front of her, holding her legs up while he penetrated her and returned to his load, now in a different position; he says he saw him take off the condom and it bothered him. “It’s killing me,” he said; he says that he masturbated over his motionless body, thinking about the reason that prompted him to do this.
At first, A.M. Lucas admits that he was confused: the film is full of passages, like in the first films, black and white, with sudden “transitions” between scenes. Only time and specialized medical care helped him uncover the full plot of the story.
It all started in the bar after dinner. Celebrated the premiere of the film. A.M. Lucas admits that he drank alcohol, a few glasses of white wine, but not to the point of “swimming.” It was in this state of almost unconsciousness, or “blackout,” as it was said in the trial, that he arrived at Nuno Lopez’s apartment.
The condition was such that she described the alleged assault as feeling like she was floating, watching her defenseless body being invaded without consent, and later came to believe it was the result of drug use.
The film ended with the actor calling a taxi, the screenwriter recalls. It was 7:30 a.m. on April 29, 2006. Nuno Lopez gave him $30 to pay for the trip, as well as his phone number, says A.M. Lucas.
The alleged victim, who is of Czech and Italian descent, ensures he never recovered from the trauma. He is willing to reach a settlement with Nuno Lopez for an undisclosed sum of money and an apology. The actor rejects both.

“I have the greatest respect and solidarity for all victims of any type of violence. (…) I want to make it clear that I refute all accusations made against me, (…) and that I will never be afraid to take legal action against anyone who tries to tarnish my good name,” the actor writes in a statement.

Confused by the events of that night, where she says she was drugged and raped, A.M. Lucas says she later met with Nuno Lopez to find out what happened. The actor said that he took her home and that they slept separately. In the morning, according to A.M. Lucas, Nuno Lopez says she kissed him and at her insistence they had sex.
