An explosion at an oil refinery in White Lake, Michigan, US, on Friday evening caused a major fire, forcing road closures and the evacuation of residents closest to the scene.
The explosion occurred around 10:00 pm this Friday. According to the report, several people reported feeling their homes shake due to the explosions, and smoke and flames could be seen several kilometers away. Detroit Free Press.
Firefighters from White Lake, Commerce Township, Milford and Highland responded to the scene to help extinguish the flames and evacuate residents to safety. “Less than 100 residents of the area of the explosion and fire were evacuated,” said a White Lake police officer.
