The government has reached an interim agreement with the Independent Union of Doctors to increase the salaries of these specialists in 2024, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.
For doctors at the beginning of their careers, their salaries increase by 14.6%. Graduate assistants receive a 12.9% increase, and senior graduate assistants receive a 10.9% increase.
The ministry’s statement also said that “primary care physicians and hospitals willing to go full-time will receive a salary increase of more than 43% in January 2024.”
The government justified the conclusion of this temporary agreement on “current political circumstances” and the lack of timely consensus “on all issues under discussion.”
