In a speech in which he contrasted socialist governance with the proposals of the largest opposition party (in terms of social security, health, education or pensions), Fernando Medina also accused the PSD of now, “due to electoral opportunism,” hiding it. the tax cuts he advocates must be financed by cuts to the welfare state.
“In socialist ideology, the welfare state is central,” he said, noting that he often walked this path alone and that it was built “against the will of the right,” whom he accused of seeking to “privatize” health care. education and social security.
