At the end of the State Budget 2024 (OE2024), Mariana Mortagua emphasized that the budget debate that ends this Wednesday began “still within the framework of a political cycle that has since ended,” referring to the political crisis that has in the meantime accelerated early elections on March 10.

“The weakness of this budget is not that it is being defended by the outgoing government. The budget was already weak when the government said it was strong, and it is weak because it chooses corrections when the country requires solutions,” he criticized.

According to Mortagua, there is a PS proposal that “speaks for this entire budget” and “is the bookplate of the absolute majority at the moment of farewell.”
