Given the victim’s difficulty breathing, firefighters called CODU at 10:46 a.m. to find out which department he should be taken to. Having received no answer, they went to the Santarem hospital and had already arrived at the emergency room when CODU called back at 11:02. The INEM operator considered the case an emergency and called VMER to provide emergency life support to the woman in the fire ambulance.

The patient arrived at 11:47 am and was tested at 12:02 pm using an orange bracelet. INEM explains that they activated VMER “so that the user can be immediately assessed by a medical team.”
INEM assisted a child in an emergency
