A 29-year-old woman was stabbed on Tuesday morning in a “serious attack” in Aberfan village in the valleys of South Wales, advancing BBC. The victim was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

The incident led to the closure of schools and nurseries and led British police to ask the public to avoid the area where the attack took place.
The suspect in the attack, a 28-year-old man, was arrested seven hours after the attack, at 4:30 p.m. Authorities are investigating the stabbing.
