Costa cancels a visit to Portuguese soldiers stationed in Mozambique due to family reasons. The visit was planned for December 18.

The prime minister canceled on Monday due to family reasons his Christmas visit to the Portuguese military mission in Mozambique, which included a meeting with Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi.

Also on Monday, during a stopover in Luanda, Antonio Costa will meet with Angolan President João Lourenço at the Presidential Palace before arriving in Mozambique.

“The Prime Minister’s trip to Mozambique on the occasion of the Christmas visit to the Separate National Forces, scheduled for next Monday, December 18, as well as, as part of the same trip, a visit to Luanda to meet with the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, have been canceled due to personal family reasons. circumstances,” reads a note published this Saturday by António Costa’s office.
