The 74-year-old woman suspected of attacking her son on the head with a hoe in Oliveira de Azemeis, Aveiro district, will await the completion of the process in preventive detention, a PNP source said this Thursday.
According to the same source, the seventy-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday and this Thursday appeared for her first judicial interrogation, to which the most serious measure of coercion was applied.
The incident took place on Friday at the house where they live, in the parish of Pindelo, in Oliveira de Azemeis.
A woman allegedly attacked her 54-year-old son by hitting him in the head with a hoe following a family argument.
The man was helped by firefighters from Oliveira de Azemeiça, who later took him to the San Sebastian hospital in Feire.
