According to the Évora territorial command, the man’s arrest occurred last Monday during a patrol carried out by the military from the Viana do Alentejo territorial post.
During the operation, the military discovered that “a person, having realized the presence” of the GNR, “exhibited suspicious behavior,” he explained.
“The man was approached and searched by personal security, as well as a search of the vehicle, during which it was established that the suspect had narcotics and prohibited weapons,” the report says.
During the action, PPR officers seized 104 doses of hashish, five doses of cocaine, three razors, bladed weapons, an ax and a crowbar.
The detainee was charged and the facts were reported to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Affairs (DIAP) of Évora.
