Eurozone unemployment rate falls to 6.4% in November 2023

The unemployment rate fell in November 2023 to 6.4% in the eurozone and 5.9% in the European Union (EU), according to data released Tuesday by Eurostat.

Unemployment in the eurozone has fallen from both 6.7% in November 2022 and 6.5% in October 2023, according to the European Statistical Office.

In the EU, the unemployment rate was 5.9% in November, down from 6.1% in the same period and 6.0% in the previous month.

Eurostat estimates there were 12.954 million unemployed in November, of which 10.970 million were in the eurozone.

Spain (11.9%), Greece (9.4%) and Sweden (7.9%) recorded the highest unemployment rates, on the other hand, the Czech Republic (2.4%), Malta (2.5%) and Germany (3.1%). , Inferior.

In November, Portugal’s unemployment rate was 6.6%, stable compared to the previous month and 0.1 points higher than the same period (6.5%).
