Hooded men invade an Ecuadorian television station. Screams and shots were heard

Live footage on Tuesday showed hooded men invading Ecuadorian television station TC in Guayaquil and forcing staff to the floor as gunshots and screams were heard, the report said. Reuters.

Some of the invaders pointed at the camera, and someone shouted: “There are no police.” Record Reuters and in photographs of the building of the shopping center signal channel, the shopping center personnel are sitting on the floor or lying on the floor of the studio.

In the incident, at least seven police officers were kidnapped by criminals, police said Tuesday, while authorities reported a series of explosions a day after President Daniel Noboa declared a state of emergency.

Noboa, the son of one of the country’s richest men, took office in November vowing to stem the tide of drug-related violence on the streets and in prisons that has been growing for years.

This Monday, the President declared a 60-day state of emergency, authorizing military patrols, including in prisons, and imposing mandatory nighttime curfews throughout the country.
