Thiago Moreira de Sá was elected to the current legislature, becoming the seventh from Lisbon in 2022, and took on the role of coordinator of the parliamentary group of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
In a conversation with Lusa, the university professor only confirmed that he decided not to run in the next legislative elections on March 10 “for a number of reasons” that he preferred to keep secret for now.
The National Council of the SDP approved on Monday evening, with only two abstentions and two votes against, the list of candidates for AD deputies.
In Lisbon, President Luis Montenegro will head the list, followed by parliamentary leader Joaquim Miranda Sarmento and former Rui Rio board vice-president Ana Paula Martins, former president of the Order of Pharmacists and outgoing president of Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte.
The fourth number in the capital will be CDS-PP, which will also have 16th place, and CBK will indicate 19th.
Lisbon will also include names presented by the PSD as independents: João Valle Azevedo, an economist with a PhD from Stanford University and director of the Bank of Portugal, in fifth place and Alexandre Homem de Cristo, a researcher and education specialist, in eighth place. .
JSD leader Alexandru Posu will take the tenth seat and council leader Louis Newton the 14th seat in a constituency in which the PSD elected 13 deputies in 2022 and the PSD/CDU-PP coalition received 18 parliamentarians in 2015.
