Nuno Borges reaches the third round of the Australian Open

Portuguese Nuno Borges, ranked 69th in the ATP rankings, qualified this Thursday for the third round of the Australian Open, defeating Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokin, ranked 24th in the world, 7-6 (9-7) , 6-3 and 6-3.

The 26-year-old from Maya needed just two hours and 18 minutes to claim his first career win over a player ranked in the world’s top 30 and advance to the first Grand Slam of the season at Melbourne Park. .
