The National Council of the Liberal Initiative will meet on Sunday and discuss the topics of the election program

On Sunday, the IL National Council is discussing topics that will appear on the electoral platform for the next legislative elections, such as tax reform, immigration or the airport – a document prepared with the participation of independent representatives and civil society figures.

According to information provided to Lusa by an official party source, the National Council of Liberals will take place in Porto on Sunday, starting at 14:30, with a speech by IL President Rui Rocha, which will be open to the media.

The rest of the work will take place behind closed doors, and some topics that will form part of the electoral program with which the party presents itself in the elections on March 10 will be discussed in addition to immigration and the airport.

According to information provided by Luse, IL involved civil society actors in the development of the electoral program, and this process “took place through a participatory process open to the participation of all party members.”

“The Liberal Initiative has always believed that greater openness of parties to civil society is necessary so that more people with their knowledge and experience will bring more quality to the political debate in the country and demonstrate that parties cannot close in on themselves,” he argues.

The published list of those individuals who contributed to the paper includes names that already serve on the Advisory Board of the Liberal Initiative Policy Action Lab (ILab), an evolutionary research office that launched last May. .
